The South Canterbury Jockey Club commence their autumn meeting to-day, and Convoy, Calibre ai*d Royal Crown are liked in the order named for the Timaru Cup. Pensive may capture the Flying Handicap, and Manjess the Stewards' Welter. Blue Stocking looks to have a chance in the Rosewill Handicap, and Carlo may prove the best investment in the Waitaki District Race.
