LONDON, April 1. Oxford won the boat race easily bjthree lengths.
The University 7 athletic sports resulted) in a win ior Oxford by 6 A points to Cambridge's 3£ points.

For the boat race the water was smooth with a light wind. Cambridge chose the Suney side of the river. Oxford, starting at a great pace, immediately went to the front, and led by-half a length and at Crawen's by two lengtlis. At Harrod's Cambridge spuitcd gamely and got half a length closer at Hammersmith bridge, but the stern chase upset the ' Cambridge crew, which did not approach practice form. The Oxford boat, which was finely stroked, led by four lengths at Barnes's", and finished strongly. Cambridge collapsed. Time, 20min 35sec.
No Australians were included' in either crew. 3. M. Bruce was tried by Cambridge, but retired a fortnight ago.
