RE'EFTON, April 2. The New Feddersen's dredge has been idle for the last fortnight, owing to the nonarrival of the main sbarft from Westport, where repairs are being effected to it. During the enforced idleness the machinery has received a thorough overhaul, and is now in good working order.

The Rocklands dredge has been idle some time, owing to shortness of water, the recent spell of dry weather having dried up the tributary in which the dredge has been working; but now that rain has set in the dredge should resume work at once.

Arnikiha dredge, on the Matakittki River, is about to recommence work under the control of Mr E. Mills, and it is expected that under his supervision payable returns will bo obtained.
