SALE OF PASTORAL LEASFS.

At the Crown Lands Office on the 28th ult. several leases of pastoral runs in Otago were offered at public auction. Mr Sessions acted as auctioneer, and there was a good attendance, but m no case was there any bidding above the upset.

Euns 254, 254 a, and 260, Taieri and Manio_toto Counties, containing 76,020 acres, were Offered at an upset annual rental of £554 6s 3d but were passed in, no bid being received. This country is known as Eocklands Station, and is at present in the occupation of Messis Boyd.

Euns 9 and 9a, Lake County, 12,790 acres, upset £32, were sold to John and A. G. Meiklejohn at the upset.

Eun 346 a, I/ake County, 8100 acres, Mount Crichton Station, upset £24, was sold to Stewart Duke at the upset.

Eun 1211, Waikouaiti, 420 acres, Mount Royal Estate, upset iJIS 15s, was sold to the trustees of the late John Douglas at the upset.

Section 19, block VI, Budle, 190 acres, upset £1 14s, was sold to Mr T. Chalmer (as agent for Christina M'Hae) at the upset.

Sections 20 and 21, block VI, Budle, 335 acres, upset £8 6s, was sold to James Hartstonge at the upset

The lease of Beaumont Station, 69,000 acres, upset £500, was sold to Mx J". Loudon (as agent for South Canterbury clients) at the upset.

A run in Lower Wanaka district, one in Mount Hyde and Maungatua districts, and one in St. Bathans district were passed in. The "fast-named run was formerly held by Mr Thomas Keenan.
