COLONEL PORTER'S REPLY.
AUCKLAND, March 1. The Premier received a reply from Colonel Porter in answer to the message sent to the latter by Mr Seddon in respect to his statement to the Poverty Bay Herald regarding the incident in South Africa which led up to the recent Seddon-Taylor case. Colonel Porter, wired from Tokomaru Bay, East Coast, lus message being as follows: — " Your tflcsfraia re interview readdressed hei-e received. 5 accept the rebuke, but trust you will ieservo judgment until the interview is r^sid. 1" am not responsible for press trle^r.un*.
