WELLINGTON NOTES.
Bt Onlooxxz.
September 5. The annual meeting of the members of the Wellington Racing Club passed off quietly. Three new candidates for stewards were all elected. One of the number (Mr James Ames) acted for many years at ttie Hutt, and lias probably done more work for tho club than any other official. Mr W. H. Turnbull is a looa! auctioneer. The retiring members ars Messrs T. M. Wilford, L. Pharazyn and C. W. Tringham. The Hutt contingent at Marton— Defoe, Delight, Togus, and Veneer — should run well. There is some talk of a triangulafr match for £100 aside between the trotters Flora G., De Wet, and Euchre, which are owned in this district.
