DUNEDIN BURNS CLUB.

The Dunedin Burns Club held its monthly meeting in the Choral Hall on the 15th, when, the wet evening Dotwithsta/nding, there was a very large attendance of members. A wellarranged programme of song, recitation, and music earned the warmest plaudits, every item meeting with a reception that must have been very gratifying to the performers. Encores were freely demanded and generously responded to. The entertainment opened with bagpipe music by the club's pipers, after which the president (Mr J. Arkle) made a brief speech. conclusion of the programme Mr W. Burnett proposed a vote of thaaks to the Rev. Mr Chisholm and the performeis for their efforts, the motion bemg caniecl by hearty acclamation. The evening vas brought to a close with an enjoyable hour's dance.
