TWO LINCOLN EWES FOR THE ARGENTINE, SOUTH AMERICA. This Lincoln ram and two ewes, from the flock of the Hon. J. D. Ormond, Hastings, North Island, were recently sold to Mr G. Haydon, Canterbury, for export to the Argentine and will be shipped by the Paparoa, leaving Wellington on July 7. Mr Walter P. Archibald manager for Mr Ormond, speaks very enthusiastically about the quality of the sheep, which he regards as tihe best representatives of the breed which have yet left the colony for South America A satisfactory price was obtained, but a phenomenal one -was not aimed at as Mr Archibald is desirous of opening up a trade in stud sheep between this colony and the Argentine.
