'Xeath the smile of forgivirg Bangi, There is tha showing of Tane's power; Up fiom the lap of the waxm. Te Papa, liaising his goocllj and God-like bower. Sh;eld of yore to it 3 dusky daughters, Brooding at night above their pa ; Waving love to the dawn-bright waters, Glad with the gladmess of mighty Ea. Shield to-day to the alien lovers, Wooing b«n:ath its ample share; Shield to the songsters that find its covers Fit as their whilome English gla.de.
