I Messrs A. Moritzson and Co., auctioneers, I wool, stock, station, grain, produce, and commission agents, report (wholesale) for the week as under. All quotations are subject to market fluctuations. We would ask farmers when send- L ing samples always to put a price on them, as buyers do r.ot feel inclined to make offers: — "Wheat. — No improvement ; unchanged. Velvet and Tuscan, 3s to 3s Id ; Red chaff and Hunters, 2s lid to 3s; good whole fowl wheat, 2s 3d, '2s 4d (ex store). Oats. — Oats unchanged. "We have sold B grade at Is 3£d to Is 4d; milling, Is od ; inferior unsaleable. Demand for bright feed is brisk, but stocks of these are almost nil, end inferior sorts have very little attention. B grade are wanted. Pnlrne milling, Is sd ; bright short feed, Is 3d to Is 4d; inferior, lid to Is 2d. Ryecorn, 3s to 3s 2d Barley. — Prime malting, fair demand at 33 to 3s 3d ; milling, 2s 3d ; ~feedl, 2s. Chaff. — Market glutted. Prime quality, £2 7s 6d to £2 12s 6d ; medium and inferior unsaleable. Straw, 2os to 30s. Ttirmps. — Loose, 12s 8d to Us. Carrots, £2. Ryegrass. — Fair demand. We have sold at :; Farmers' dressed, 23 to 2s 6d ; machined, 3s 6d to 4s Cocksfoot. — Owing to small crop and high, prices in London, this seed is considerably firmer. We have sold farmers' lines from 3d to 4d; machined seed, 5d to (id. Liinseed. — From £S to £10 per ton, as per quality. Chewings's Fescue. — No demand at present owing to large stocks of last season's. We anticipate low prices for new seed. Potatoes — Market fully supplied. Prime Derwents se'ling at £1 15s to £2 per ton for prime; inferior and white sorts unsaleable. Kabbitskms. — Suckers and runners, 4\d to 6Jd ; early autumns, 9|d to lOJd ; late au urnns, lOJd to 11 Id; autumn blacks, md! to Is; winters, 14£ dto 16d; late autumns, 12Ad to 13Ad; winter blacks, up to Is lOd. Sheepskin 5 ;. — "We ho.d sales every Tuesday. The demand is very keen for all classes, and extreme prices are being paid. Crossbred and halfbred, 4s 6d to ss ; inferior do, 2s 6d to 3s 9d>; pelts, large, Is 9d to 2s; small, Is to Is 6d; lambs, good, 3s 3d to 3s 9d; small, 2s 6d to 3s. Top prices guaranteed. Hides. — "We quote: Prime ox, 7d; heavy do, s}d to 6f d ; light to medium, ljd to 5Jd ; cows — • heavy, Hd to 4Jd; medium, 4|d to 4gd; light, 4d to 4|d. Horsehair, 13id to 15d ; bale lots, 15id. Our next sale takes place on the 11th. Country sales conducted on most leasonable terms. We can supply rabbit and aheep netting, oil cake ; farmers' Fairbanks 4001b scales, £5 10s; Crown sheep dip — casks 3s per gallon, drums 3s 6d ; Berger's red and black sheepbranding oil, 4s per gallon; Gibson's cattle brand, 9s for small, and 15s for large tins ; Newton's patent wool presses, JEI3 each ; clover, rape, and turnip seeds, ull freshly landed. Prices on application. Stack covers, 18 x 16, 40s each. Grass Seed Cleaning. — Our machinery is up to date. We have just added a. clover polisher. I and as we have a machine of the latest type for each kind of seed, we give from 5 per cent, to 10 per cent, better cleaning results than a machine which cleans all" seeds. We also store seed free of charge until cleaned, and keep same insured. Storing Grain.— We are prepared to store, receive, and deliver, insure, with three months' free storage, at 3d per sack. Our stores aro vermin proof and connected with s^dn-.g. 27RUIT AND PKODUCE REPOET Butter. — Prime salt, 8d ; off, 6d to 7d ; separator in lib pats, 9d ; storekeeper's lots 6d to 7d. Eggs.— Fresh, Is 7d ; iie^erved. lid. Cheese —Factory, 4£d to 5Jd , loaf, old to sid ; dairy, 4*d to srl. Honey. — Demand is not very strorg. Prices are ruling from 8?d to 4d for good qua'ity.
