The ordinary meeting held on Thursday, June 0, was attended by the Commissioner j (Mr J. Hay) and Messrs A. Kinross, J. M'lnI tyre, D. King, and John M'Lean. j The Under- Secretary notified that the money ! deposit in respect of the unsurveyed lands in j the Waiau district recently opened to selection would not be required, but the half-year's rent must be paid. — Received. It was decided to recommend the Government to leserve sections 1 to 4, block I, town of Otara, as an addition to the school site. Mrs J. Davaney applied to purchase sections 4 and 5, block VIII, Wrey's Bush township, and asked that the price be reduced from • £10 to £0 per acre. — Request for reduction dej chned. E. Earle applied to purchase 500 acres adjoining section 1, block VI, Lillburn, at 6s 3d per acre, stating that the area was necessary lo him for growth of winter feed for his stock. — Minister to be recommended to approve application. It was decided to reserve from sale section • 22, block 11, Wsikawa. Mr Foulds to bs asked j to make an offer for grazing rights over sections 17 and 22. P. Conway was granted grazing license ovei sections 15 and 16, block fX, Waikawa, at 25s per annual. The application of V. Almao for sections 19 and 20, block X, New River Hundred, was not entertained. C. J. Evans anplied for grazing license over section 25, block* 11, Longwood.— Commissioner j and Mr Kinross to report. Black. r The transfer of section IS, block I, Longwood, from Robert M'iiride to Mrs Charles Brownridge was refused, as the proposed transferee, who was in attendance, could not reside on the area. Change of tenure from perpetual lease to lease in perpetuity of the following areas situated in Wendonside was granted: — 10 and 11, block VII ; section 4, block VIII ; and section 111, block I. The Commissioner reported that there was no bid for pastoral Runs 324 a and 324b, Mavora aaid Eyre districts, offered at auction on the Bth inst., and it was decided to open the runs to applica'ion after 30 days' notice. Daniel Torpey was permitted to sublet one acre of section 10, block VIII, Waiau, to Mrs Morrison, jun. The Receiver was authorised to pay over to the Wallace County Council £217 * 13s lid, thirds and femrths acrued.
