Sims and Arthur Shirley, which, Timongst famous melodrama, caw bo said to rank only with "The Silver King" ; "The Shadows- of a Great City," a story of NewYork life ; "Why Woman Siae," a stirring modern drama recently purchased by Mr J. O. Williamson's agent in London, for the reason that the considered it one of the best plays of its class seen in England for many years; "For the> Sake of a Woman," Dion Bouoicault's immortal Irish drama, "The Shaughraun" ; and "The Assassin," a stirring story of Russian life. The initial performance will be "Tho Two Little Vagabonds." As the title implies, it- deals with the joys and sorrows of two little outcast London, arabs, and the plot i-i carried through the clouds and sunshine surrounding their lives, in George R. Sims' s own inimitable style. The press and public of Australia and New Zealand have been enthusiastic over both the interpretation and mounting of this celebrated drama as presented by Charles Holloway's company.

It is 11 yeare since Mr Holloway was last in New Zealand, but he will be remembered by old playgoers here not only as a wellgraced actor 1 , but as a manager who knows intuitively the requirements of the public.
