Wedding Bell°. — Wednesday, the 20th Janii?iy, was a notable day in the annals of the Upper Waiau, for on that day the first wedding cl icmony since tho days when the dusky Muon loomed over our lulls w.^s perfoimcd beyondl the Wairaki River, the conti acting paities bairg Miss Mui\ol Glcndi.ming, fifth daughter of Mv AiicJrew Glendmnmg, one of our oldest settleis, and Mi R.ilph Scott, Orawia. The coiemony was porfonned by the Rev. Mr Macdonald, Otr.titrvit. The day was beautifully fine, and the wedding; took place 0:1 the lawn m front of I\Jr Gleiulmnmg's house, a number of fi\er.ds cr the bude and bridrgrocm being ptesenit. Mr W. Gleiidn:,ing. brother of thebride, acted as best man, while Miss Margaret Glendmnmg, sister of the bude, acted 111 the capacity of br.desm.ud. The b-ide looked very pretty in her white wedding dress, and the bridesmaid's diess consisted of a black lustie skirt and pink nun's veiling blouse. After the cereaiojy the company adjourned to the hense, where thoy cud justice to a substantial wedding bieakfast provided by Mr Glendmnmg.
