Tho Hawera Industrial Exhibition building was finished on the 261-h. The space occupied is 30,000 ft. The committee is spending £1200. The receipts so far for space, etc., total £500; 1000 pictures are promised, the mobt valuable being worth £800 ; 120 firms are exhibiting. Indications point to the exhibition bemg a big success. Mr King, the representative of the English syndicate that intends working the ironsand foreshore leases in Taranaki, expresses himeelf highly satisfied with his inspection and tho prospects, and states that 011 hit, re-turn to XJondon the capital of ihe pynd.cate "will be increased, to one million sterling.
