At the City Council meeting to-night the By-Li'.vs Committee reported that the Theatre Ttojc.i was not in a fit condition to be licensed. The report was adopted, and it was decid?d to inform the lc--s.ee that the licence haa expired, and that no further performance will be permitted in the building until such structural slterations ?ie completed as_ p.-actlcally menu the rebmldiuj of the whok? theatre.
