Tho Willoughby-Geach Company left us in the early part of the week, all the members being very "touchy" if approached from the left sioe. Vaccination!

The Williamson Company arrived from the e&uth yesterday, and opened at the Opera, House last night v-rith "The Admirable Crichton" to a bumper house. Johnny Pallei the Younger paid a flying visit to our city the other day froij. Christchurch to see how the work of transforming tho Choral Hail into His Majesty's Theatre ia progiessing. Ho reports that it is going on wall, ancl says his vaudeville combine will get to work pgain there at the end of the month.

llontgonieiy's Entertaineis open a season at the Exchange Hall to-morrow night. "Week after next we are to have another ses-so-'i of our Dramatic Students. On the 15th dnst the programme is to comprise "Fennel" and "My Lord m Livc-ry," and on the 16th the programme will contain "Marble Arch," "Ivlan in the Street," and "The Duchess of Bayswater."
