THE OPENING OP THE SALVATION ARMY MATERNITY HOME, CAVERSHAM. The new Salvation Army Maternity Home was opened by the Mayoress (Mrs T. Scott) on Thursday afternoon, July 9. The home ia situated near the railway etation, Caversham, and contains 14 rooms, most of them being large and lofty, and well-lighted and ventilated. Provision -will be made for the accommodation of 17 inmates, and the home, which will be self-supporting ac faj as possible, will be in charge of Ensign Findlay, who has had experience in similar work in Australia.
