DIVIDENDS

The returns from the Mystery Flat dredge have b^n a little better of late, and Oe directors of the company have been enabled to declare another dividend (the third) of Is per share, payable to-morrow. This dividend represents a distribution of £275 12s amongst shareholders, »nd when it 13 paid they will have received 4s per share, or a.n aggregate of £ 1102 Bs. The secretary of the Sandy Point Gold Dredging Company reports a return of 40oz 4dwt for 126 hours' dredging. This company has been very successful ever since operations were commenced, the returns being both good and consistent. Though work has bec-n carried on for only a few months the directors have been enabled to declare a dividend (the first) of Is per share, which has been made payable on Monday, July 6. The sum of £400 will be distributed amongst shareholders, and in addition to th;s there is a reserve fund amounting to £450.

The directors of the Success Gold Dredging Company have declared a dividend of 2s per share, payable on and after to-day.

REPORTS FltOM WORKING DREDGES. The secretary of the Waimumu Central Company reports a return of ICoz 16dwt for 66 hours' dredging. The return from the Alpine No. 2 dredge this v week is 760z ISchvt 6gr for 121 hours' work. The dredge was troubled with dnft last week. The secretary of the Molyneux Kohinoor Company reports a return of 330z 13dwt for 120 hours' work. The dredgemaster reports that he is still on go]d. The secretary of the Prince Arthur Company reports a return of 330z for the week. The dredgemaster states, that the ruer is falling aguin. The Annkitea dredge washed up 21oz 17dwt.

The master of the New H-ilfwsy House dudgc reports having washed up for f 1 return cl 60oz Bdwt for three days' work. lie also states that the dredge has gone off the gold.

The secretary of the Waimumu Company reports a' return of 17oz 16dwt for 30 hours' dredging. Tenders aro invited for the removal -of the Dart River dredge. Tho secretary of the Maruhenkia Gold Dredging Company reports a return of 81oz lOdwt for 127 hours' woik. The dredgernaster states that the drift is still troublesome.

Tho return from the Rise and Shine dredge last week was 560z 4dwt for 120 hour*/ work. The master stoppSd dredging on Saturday morning for the puiposo of putting a, new section hi the screen.
