He gave way to drinking and turned her out, when she went to livC with an adopted daughter in Dunedin. Subsequently he came to Dunedin, and asked hex to go back. She and her daughter went tg( Kaitangata, but the respondent gave way tof drink again, and turned them both out. Wit* ness got a situation as housekeeper in Dun> edin. Respondent had contributed nothing Ut her maintenance sinoe she left him. Agnes Swannerton, wife of James Swanner* ton, carter, gave evidence. Witness said sh« ■vras Mrs Forrest's adopted daughter, and livecl with her till about 12 yeaTS ago. "Witness gave corroborative evidence, and stated that when she went back to Kaitangata with her mothezi the respondent waa drinking night and day, and threatened to kill his wife. Mre Forrest came back to town with witness, and one day Forrest turned up and threatened to slioofl Mrs Forrest.
His Honor granted a decree nisi, to be mad* absolute after three months.
