EARTHQUAKE SHOCKS

ADELAIDE, June 26

Several earth shocks — two of a severe character — were experienced at Mooirta. Men at 300 ft below the level of the mine were thrown off their feet, the lights were extinguished, the whole workings put in darkness, the tramline at the bottom of the level was torn from its position, and some waggons were overturned. Falling stones slightly injured several of the men. After recovering from the shock the men were conveyed to the surface. All work is suspended.
