THE CORN DUTY

In the HoiT-e of Commons Mr Chaplin's amendment to the Finance Bill in favour of the retention of the coin duty was rejected by 41G to 32. In the House of Common*- Mr Chamberlain, in reply to~ a question, announced that Lord Tennyson would return to England in December. His term as Governor-general was not renewed.
