Otago Witness Illustrations.
A UNIQUE PARLIAMENT: NEW ZEALAND HOUSE OE REPRESENTATIVES, 1860.
The engrossingly interesting group given above will be eagerly scanned by politicians of every snade and by all interested in the political history of the colony. Scarcely a man who was not poMMted of mm than ordinary ability is to be found in the group, while it ib only necessary to mention such names as those of Bell, Clifford, Domett, Featherstou, Fitzgerald, Fitzherbert, Fox, Gillies, Macandrew, Hoozo. Moorhouse, Richmond, Stafford, Weld, Williamson, etc., to show the surprising preponderance of brilliant men comprised in this memorable Parliament, nearly all of whom made their mark in either politic* law or literature in after years. Probably such a collection of men of more ihan average ability has never been seen in any Parliament in the colonies.
