WEEKLY MARKET REPORT.

Messrs Ninimo and Blair report as follows : — - Wheat. — There is no change to report since last week. Quotations: Prime milling, 4s id to 4s 3d ; fowl wheat (whole), 3s 2d to 3a 3d per bushel (sacks extra). Oats. — The market remains quiet, the demand being principally for prime milling lines suitable for export. Quotations : Prime nulling, Is lOd to Is lid , good feed, Is Sd to Is 9d; inferior and medium, up to la 7|d per bushel (sacks extra).

Chaff. — Supplies are coming in in excess of tho demand, a.nd prices ha-vo receded accordingly. Quotations : Prime bright-oaten, £3 5s to £3 10a per ton (sack 3 extra). Potatoes. — A good dema.nd exists for all prime- lines'. Quotations : Primo Derwents, up to SA per ton (sacks in).

DAIRY PRODUCE BEPOHT.

Butter.— Salt, 8d to 9d, fresh (cooking), 7Sd to 8d per lb. Pigs.— l2olb to 1701b in weight, 5d per lb.

NATIONAL BANK OF NEW ZEALAND

The general manage* of the National Bank cf New Zealand received cable advice on Friday that th<* directors propose m their report to pay a dividend of 5 per cent, for the half year, making 10 per osnt. for Ihe year, to inciease the reserve fund by £30,000, to write £5000 off premises account, to increase the pension fund by £6500, and to carry forward ±7750. The annual meeting is to be held on July 7.
