May 11.— The death of Mrs Thomas Andrews ramo to us so suddenly auc 1 unexpectedly that it gave us quite a shock. Mrs Andrews, -who came to the district about, 1870, then quite a young -woman, was shortly p.fterwsrd-3 married (o Mr Thomas Andrews, blacksmith, and thera is no family. She was a patient, feeling, open-heartrd woman, qualities making the possessors valuable and helpful to their fellow creatures. Either charity or church always found her ready 1o help; sickness or death found her sympathetic and aiinisterijitr to the necessities of the case; and licw she is taken from us wa find, to our sorrw, that "we knew not how much we loved her until she had gone." Much sympathy is felt for cur respcotscj townsman in hi 3 bereavement. It appears that Mrs Andrews had got the breakfast ready on Friday morning, and was about to serve it out, when she complained that her head was paining her. She went to lie down, but, the pain becoming very great, the doctor was sent for, and Mr Andrews ran for the assistance of a. neighbour. By the time the doctor arrived she \vi? unconscious, and remaine-d so until sh» expired, about two and a-ha!f hours after taking ill. A very large and sorrowing procession followed her remains to the grave, comprising fully ."00 pc-opie.
