The following are the week's returns: — .Royal Waimumu, 320s l'dwt for 132 hours; iWaikaka, 240z 17<Iwt 14gr for 130 hours ; MflcCharlton, 16oz 15dwt for 120 hours; Waikaka Queen, 230z for 117 hours; Waimumu Queen, 84oz 18dwt for 130 hours; Cairntrodlie, lloz 15dwt for 130 hours. The master of the Cairntrodlie dredge reports that the dredge is going over a high bar of reef. Another 30oz return will see this company on the dividend-paying list. The ■company has sufficient funds in hand vow to declare a dividend of Is, but the current month's accounts reduca the amount to slightly beneath the sum required for the dividend. The company has b&en gradually freeing itself from difficulties, and ha 3 a promising iuture before it. The Royal Waimumu Company will also be on the dividend-paying list shortly. This company was deeply involved when it started operations, but th? returns have been good ■throughout, and shareholders shon'd soon commence to reap in steady dividends. At the Warden's Court on Thursday, the Receiver of Gold Revenue claimed £20, a quarter's instalment of rent from the Charlton Valley Company for tho construction of the Charlton Creek tail race. Judgment was given by default. The Centra! Charlton Cotnonny was also sued, but tho claim was settled before the court sat, and the case was not tailed on.
