DEPARTURE FROM PARIS. PARIS, May 4. King Edward has left Paris, President Loubet, M. Combes, and M. Delcasse accompanying him to the station. He was enthusiastically cheered. May 5. General Andre, French Minister for War, has transmitted to the Military Governor of Paris King Edward's congratulations on the appearance and bearing of the troops. At King Edward's instance, the troops were granted a day's rest. King Edward sent a telegram to President Loubet, warmly thanking him for his reception in France. The King slept aboard the royal yacht, and leaves Cherbourg to-day. The King has left Cherbourg. May 6. M. Delcasse, on being interviewed, said that King Edward's visit was regarded as an act of friendship and a spontaneous testimony of esteem and sympathy very precious to the Republic. President Loubet, in a telegram to King Edward, says he is delighted at the goOu impression he has carried away as a re.sult of his visit, and most warmly ' thanks him for the sentiment so kindly j manifested towards the French people and Government. King Edward was accorded a splendid ovation at Portsmouth and London. The American newspapers declare that King Edward has proved himself a great Ambassador. The Russian newspapers approve of the increasing cordiality in j Anglo-French relations.
