First Day— Wednesday, May G. The Egmont meeting to-day was very successful. The weather was fine and the racing interesting. There was one accident during the day. Hermit came down in the Hurdles and -was killed, Lir.d, his ridgr, having his collarbone broken. The total put through the machine was ±'6536, against £5749 last winter.
