KOKONGA.
May I.— The weather— what shall I say about it? It is certainly exceptionally fine for this' time of year — more like summer than the first! day of winter, with it 3 beautiful bright sunny days and just a touch of frost at night, though' the absence of flowers and the rich mellow tints of the leaves remind us that winter isn't far away.
Harvesting. — Most of our farmers are fortiK nate enough to have their crops a?l gathered im Mr Harris's mill has been very busy this weeft. The results of the threshing are very satisfactory. The weather has been just perfect foa harvesting operations. The turnip crops abouu here are fairly good, and tho winter feed for. the stock is on the whole very promising. Lecture. — Mr Pringie gave a very instructive lecture on electricity «. short time ago in the schoolroom here. Solos were rendered during the evening, and the Jecture was very interest* ing, and was much appreciated by "those pre« sent.
Bunny.— Judging by the quantities of rabbits that pass through Kokonga daily, trappers arar giving bunny a rough time of it.
