OBITUARY.

Thoma- Daulton. aged 21, died at GiSborno. Ke was a member of the Seventh Contingent, and was injured by a fall from a horse in South Africa. On ttie voyage oiib he contracted pneumonia. He recovered somewhat on landrns, but an abscess near the brain sat in. He was a very popular young fellow. Another of Otago"« old identities has been rather suddenly and unexpectedly taken from our midet in the person of Mrs Janefe Cadzow. widow of the late Robert Cadzow. Deceased, with her youngest daughter, was on a visit to her married daughter, Mrs Roberts, residing at Gore, and whilst there took suddenly ill and expire.d after a week's illnesa. Mrs Cadzow, with her late husband, arrived in the colonies some fortr years ago," and for a unmber of years they devoted their attentions to dairying pursuits on tha Peninsula at Anderson's Bay with ptreab success. Of late years Mrs Cadzow had been. living p retired life down the North Easfc Yallev, where .she had a lot of friends and acquaintance- She was held in high esteem by all who knew her.
