THE WAIKAKA UNITED No. 2 DREDGE.

Further particulars jreseived with regard to -the sinking of the Waikaka "United No. 2 dredge show that she sank very suddenly. The .crew were on board at the time and wathin 10 ■minutes of the alarm "being given the dredge Tvas submerged. There is now about 4ft of prater above the deck forward, but -very little aft. The dredgenraster is of opinion that -as the water came in from the st-jrn, and evidently througli a fair-sized hole, the tailings must have scoured a hole in the pontoons. He also states that th 9 port pontcon appears to be -crippled.
