WHERE DO SLUGS COME FROM ?
I It has been stated that slugs come "with the use of stable manure. There appears to be some -truth in this, as for the past three years I have had no slugs in the gar.den, though there are 'plenty from lin to 4in long in tho district. During the peaiod mentioned I have not used any stable manure. This year, however, with one load of the manure, I find baby slugs already at work where the manure was dug in. — I. H. ID.
