A well-attended committee meeting of th© »bc%-e club was held in Mr Myers's room, Octagcii, on Monday, the 23rd, Mx R Ferguson presiding. The Secretary reported tha-t entries were already coming in, including a large number of incubators from seven or eight different n akera. A letter was received from the Traffics Superintendent of: Railways stating that holiday excursion tickets would bt- issued during pbow week. His Worship the Mayor wrote stating that ho would be pleased to open the show, At the same time offering a special prize. Mr D. D. Hyde, the Government poultry expert, v.-rote stating that tha lion, the Miiustei: of Agricu'ture had donated £5 5s towards the export classes. It was decided to hold a social on the second night of the show. Members and visitors to be invited. Several valuable trophies and special prizes have been collected in addition to those nlready published in the schedule. The esiie of art union tickets has far exceeded expectations. The details of the show are well in hand, and the club anticipate a record entry.
