REPORTS FROM WORKING DREDGES

The dr-edgernaster of the Endeavour dredge reports having washed up before he knew that the Coronation ceremor/y had been postponed. The return is 370z 7dwt for four days' dredging. Mr J. J. Ramsay reports the Waikaka United return for the past week as 260z.

The return from the Premier Buller dredge last week was 260z.

The secretary of the Greenstone Creek Gold Dredging Company reports that the return last Sveek was 14oz Bdwt 12gr.

The dredgemaster of the Waimumu Extended dredge reports a, return of 240z 3dwt for 95 hours' dredging. Work will be stopped vhil© the screen and top tumbler are- fixed up.

The secretary of tho Premier Buller Company reports that last week's return was 260z 3dwt for 100 hours' dredging. Tho correct return of the Waitahuna dredge for last w-eek is 19oz lOdwt 19gr. The dredgemastev of the Molyneux Kohincor dredge reports that he washed up on Wednesday for a return of 420z 3dwt 6gr for 85 hours' w<?rk. He will wash up again to-day. The secretary of the Ettfick Company reports a return of 20oz 3dwt for 83 hr.urs' dredging.

The secretary of the Molyneux Kohinoor Company reports a return of 21oz 9dwt for 44 hours' work, making, with Wednesday's wajhup, a total of 630z 12dwt 6gr for 129 hotfts' dredging. The secretary of the Roxburgh Amalgamated Mining and Sluicing Company reports a, gold return of 1420z ldwt 12gr for the month of June.

The dredgemaster of the Charlton Creek dredge reports washing up on Thursday morning for a return of Hoz for four days' wor£. The reason the cleaning up took place so early was the stopping of the dredge for the Coronation holiday before the news of the postponement had been received. Mr J. J. Ramsay reports that the return from the Paterson's Freehold dredge last w?ek was 21oz. The dredgemaster had some trouble with a bank of clay, which accounts for the small return. The secretary of the Great Woodstock Company (Kameri) reports a return of 9oz 12d\rt for 131 hours' dredging. The secretary of the Rise and Shine Company reports a return of 650z 12ilwt for 119 hours' dredging, and that the waah continues good,, The machinery is running well. The return from the Empire Company's two dredges last week was 330z 9dvrt. Through r.n accident to the air pump three shifts' dredging timo was lost on the No. 1 dredge. The secretary of the Manuherikia Gold Dredging Company reports a return of 260z 14dwt 12gr for 52 hours' work. The river is going down. The secretary of the Fourteen-mile Beach G.D. Company reports a leturn of 20oz lOdwt for 84 hours' work. Dredging was resumed on Friday.

The secretary of the Monte Christo Company reports a return of 270z 6dwt for five days' dredging. The wash is improving. The secretary of the Earnscleugh Company reports a return of 38oz from the No. 1 dredge for 105 hours' woik The No. 2 dredge has bo^n undergoing repairs.

The return from the Golden Run dredge is 320z 17d<wt for 68 hours' dredging. Of this amount the Golden Run Company receives 230z Bdwt 12gr and the Golden Gate 9oz Bdwt 12gr. The dredgemaster of the Rilry's Beach Company reports a return of 270z for two and ahalf days' dredging. He expected to finish repairing on Saturday night, and intended starting et 12 on Sunday night. The ground is improving right across.

The return from the Clyde dredge is 14oz. The dredge was stopped during the greater part of the week owing to the heavy drift.

The dredgemaster of the Golden Treasure dredge reports a return of ISoss for last week. The river is up.

The dredgernaster of the Golden Gate dredge reports a return of 19oz ldwt. Tho river is falling. The secretary of the Stafford Waimea Company reports » return of 18oz Bdwt for last week. The dredgemaster advises that he cannot bottom, and that the face is one mass if timber.

Up till Thursday the Lafranchi's Freehold Company got in about 80 hours' dredging for a return of Boz. It Is hoped that, with open weather, no further stoppages will be necessary. The di-edgemaster of the Leviathan dr«dgo reports a return of lloz 15dwt for 122 hours' work. Owing to the nature of the ground poor returns may be expected during the next week or two.

An Auckland telegram states that during the four weeks ending 21st June the Waihi Gold Mining Company treated 13,374 tons OTe for bullion valued at £35,044.

A Reefton telegram states that the Kesp-it-Dark Company obtained 171oz 18dwt from 851 tons stone and 1250z 14dwt from the cyanide.

Mr Laurence Ryan, Alexandra, reports that the Perseverance No. 2 dredge obtained 78Joz last week. Ifc wiil take all this week to complete theTepairs to the No. 1 dredge.

The Globe dredge was erroneously reported to have obtained Boz sdwt for four days' work, whereas the return should have been 13oz lOdwt for five days' work.
