UNION STEAM SHIP COMPANY.
The directors of- the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand (Limited) have declared an interim dividend of 4 per cent, for the halfyear ended 31st, March last, payable on the 19th inst. ' - GOVERNMENT OQNTRACTS. The following tenders for the. supply of stores to the Public Works Department for the year ending 31st March, 1903, for Otago and Southland have been accepted by the New Zealand Government: — Class I: Ironmongery, general— John Edmond, Otago and Southland. II: Ironmongery," builders' — New Zealand Hardware Company, Otago and Southland. Ill: Plumbers' material — Thomson, Bridger, and Co., Otago, John Edmon-d, Southland. XV: Ridging and spouting — A. and T. Burt, Otago, Briscoe and Co., Southland. V: Ship chandlery — Briscoe and Co., Otago, John. Edmond, Southland. VI : Iron and steel — Thomson, Bridget-, and Co., Otago, John Edmond, Southland. VII : Oils and colours— Thomson, Bridger, and Co., Otago, John Edmond, Southland. VIII: Cement, colonial— Milburn Lime Company, Otago and Southland. IX: Lime — Milburn Lime Company, Otago and Southland. X: Drain pipes^ — Briscoe and Co., Otttgo and Southland. XI: Explosives — John Edmond, Otago and Southland; New Zealand Hardware Company and Dalgety and Co., Otago ; Dalgety and Co., Southland. XII: Tents and terpaulins — Sargood, Son, and Ewen, Otago; A. Thomson, Southland. The following were the tenders received by the Public Works Department for the- conr struct-ion of a railway bridge over the Whangarei River, neaT Opau wharf: — C M.
