It is a difficult matter to get men with certificates, and the inspectors are very particular in this matter now. The Teviot dredge is still closed down. There 1b some talk of this company trying to procure part of the old Roxburgh Lead claim. 5 The river is lower now than it has been since Wst October, and is still falling, but there is a fcood deal of drift running.
