The Road Ii -oector reported that the road from Lawrence towards Roxburgh at Evan's Flat toward-. Bellamy Station, and from Robius's gate, required the worst portions of the holes filled in, which would be attended to by the surfacemen There were several hoes in the road just below the white gravel pit towards Beaumont which would be attended to by the surfacemen. The road at Rae's Junction was bad, but there would shortly be a contract let for the same. The road from M'Kay's Hill going through James Riding had been very much neglected, no surfacing having been done on it this year. He would recommend that a man be kept on it for a lew months to get the worst portions in order before the wintei sets in. The foot budge at Benger Creek had broken down, but had been attended to.
