During the past week New Zealand butter has not been in =ucli request as it was, but this is true of all butter. Retailers are naturally anxious not to follow the high prices prevailing, hoping for a fall in values; but it looks very much as if they would be disappointed, for, though there is a temporary elulness, there :s not enough best quality butter outside of New Zealand to meet the consumptive demand.
