THE NEW HEBRIDES
.MELBOURNE, April 9. The Federal Premier has received a communication from Burns-Philp Company stating that they had arranged to throw open 30,000 acres of rich alluvial laud south of Santo, in the New Hebrides. A lease is to be granted to British subjects only in 500-acre blocks, at a nominal rental. The settlers wiL' be conveyed free to the island.
