PALMERSTON STOCK SALES

(Limited) report as follows — The usual monthly stock sale was held at Pa'.merston on Monday, the 7th inst., when the largest yarding of sheep offered at Palmerston for seme years was submitted. In all 3864 sheep were penned, nearly the whole of which were sold Tinder the hammer. As a whole the quality was by no means first clas6, a very consider- j able portion being comprised of aged ewes and • lambs of a second-rate description.
