[advt.] IMMIGRATION AND LABOUR, TO THE EDITOR.
Sir,— ln your issue of the 27th mst. (Otago Witness) a correspondent stated that owing to the scarcity of men m the district a quc«t-on wnich ought to be seriously considered is whether or not immigration is desirable, as tnere are numerous works neglected. Noiv St -I venture to say that as far as scarcity of 'men is concerned there are plenty of willing and able men in our city who are only too anxious to obtain work of any description at a reasonabre wage. lam in a positxon to know, bein^ a labour agent, and at present have numerous inquiries for any class of labour.— l am, etc., . , P.
