LONDON, March 27. j The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 3,790,000 quarters, | and for the Continent 1,470,000 quarters. j Stocks and shares • Bank of Australasia, £75; New South Wales, £42 10s; Union, £38; all [ others unchanged. At the tallow sales 1225 casks were offered and 875 sold. Prices for all kinds remain unchanged. March 29. The Bank of England returns show the stock of gold, coin, and bullion to be £34,248,000 and the reserve £24,743,000. The proportion of reserve to liabilities is 46.64. The notes in circulation total £29,220,000 ; public deposits, £13,576,000 ; other deposits, £39,296,000; Government securities, £12,228,000; other securities, £34,457,000. Three months' bills are discounted at 3 13-16 per cent. Consols are quoted at £95 12s 6d«
