OTAGO AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL SOCIETY.

The monthly meeting of the Otago A. and P. Society was held in the Agricultural Hall board room on Thursday, and attended by Messrs H. V. Fulton (president, in the chair), Alexander Douglas, James Hazlett, J Elliot, G. H. Gilroy, J. Ross J. C. Gow, W. Charters, A. C. Stronach, J. Angus, George Roberts, D. Andrew, and E. F. Duthie. Apologies were leceived from Messrs C. Reid, James Gow, and A. Johnson. A considerable amount of correspondence wa3 dealt with. In connection with the forthcoming conference of the National Sheep Breeders' Association, which is to be held in June, Mr A C. Begg, who is now on his way to England, ha* been asked to represent the society, and has consented to do so should his prebent arrangements permit. A letter was received from the Secretary of the Southland Agricultural and Pastoral Association asking the society if they could suggest any prominent sheep breeder who is likely to be in England during the month of June and who would be willing to represent the association at the forthcoming conference The secretary was instiucted to adv ice the Southland Agricultural and Pastoral Association that Mr A. C. Begg had been asked to represent this society, and would no doubt be pleaded to reprebent also the Southland Association.
