My Dear Comrades, — It if with great pleasure that I invite you all to meet for the opening of our Third Session on May 1. The time for writing papers for our first meeting of the session is always unavoidably short, but I hope you will make a special effort to render the opening of our Third Session a success. With regard to the topic chosen I should like to say a few words. I should like to make our meeting a memorial to the great and good Queen, ■whose loss we still momn. It would have been impossible, however, m the face of all that has 'been, and is still being, written by the world's most gifted men and women concerning "Victoria, the Well-beloved," for us to have contributed anything that had not already been said more ably. Let us, however, make our "Gallery of Noble Women" a tribute to the memory of our late Queen, by dedicating each study of a noble life "to the memnry of Queen Victoria,'' rnrl each mentioning the "noblest woman of our own time " in some few woids of opening 01 closing his or her paper — the sentence may be bievity itself so it be there. Our second meeting is suro to meet vith the warm respon-c wlvch always marks a members' meeting, and I ar>i tlut from all the events w h-ch have irnrked the last few months, and fi c m vom Chr.stmis holiday pleasuies and experiences jou ill all have a rich stoic of episodes from which to draw your treu&urei. OIMELIXE.
