WELLINGTON WING WHISPERS.
Er P. KoMPTKa. Match 30. The coming of Fitzgerald's Circus lifted things amusing out of the ruck of " vaudevi'liamsni." Circus weather greeted Tom and Dan on their arrival on Monday— a gentle autumn zephyr becoming a winterly hurricane, rending the tent, and causing a shut-down that night. Tuesday bi ought perfect weather, and the town has been breathless ever since Oii^ the first night the big tent was packed, anc? ditto on the succeeding nights. The season closes to-night, Tom and Dan being satisfied, as they should be, for they have emptied Wellington's pockets of their spare cash. Dan '3 off to Sydney to-day, and Tom will manage solus for the rest of the New Zealand tour. Not that all the cash has, however, gone to the Fitzgeralds ; for Dix'a coffers, and also Fullers', have grown weightier upon the week's business. Both Choral Hall and Theatre Royal are now running stiong attractions. On Monday night Montgomery's Bioscope opens at the Opeia Hou«e, with new records just from Home.
