RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES.
TUESDAY, March 26. Ifc was a fine morning at Riccarton, but the trucks were heavy after yesterday's rain. The grass gallop was open for work. Somer-lc-d and Glcnogle ran a mile at a solid pace on the grass. Glenaladale galloped a mile «nd a-qua,rter on the grass, being assisted over the last mile by Scottish Minstrel. Glenalad'Je ran the full distance in 2min 14sec on the grass. Siege Gun, San Remo, Field Pv3sp, and Isinene were given slow work. Sis lain a and Cavalry ran seven furlongs at thrpe-qnarter speed, Heriot joining for tlie ' last three furlongs. Cora Lmn, looking very i«ss*li, galloped five furlongs on the cinders in j Iniin osec. Clandeboye and Antigone did a similar task on the giass track. Benzoin put in seven furlongs, run in lmin 36bce. He was eas-e.'l before finishing. Rougemont and 'Margot ran five furlongs on the plough in lmin 12sec. Hypnotist worked over six furlongs on the grass, running the last half-mile in 56sec. Skobeldff. Menschikoff, Cruciform, and San Patricia covered four furlongs in the same time. Strathnairn trotted twice round, then sprinted half a mile iiv 53sec Hermosa galloped slightly 6hort of seven furlongs on the grass in lmin 32sec. Formo'an was given a five-furlonpr go on the cinders, runm\g the last four in 53=ec.
