The programme for the Dunedm Jockey Club's May meeting appeared in last issue It provides for s°ven events on each of the two days, and the amount to be disbursed is £1040 — £570 on the first day and £470 on the Saturday. The principal events on the first day are the Birthday, of 200sovs, ore mi'e and a-quarter , the Tradesmen's Handicap, of lOOeovs, six furlongs, the Winter Welter Hsuidicaj?, of 70sovs,
seven hulonps; and the First Hurdle Handicap, of 70sovs, one mile and three-quarters. On the second day the chief items aie the Provincial Handicap, of 150sovs, one mile , the Wai-Rongoa Handicap, of GOsovs, seven furlongs; the Invermay Welter Handicap, of 60sovs, six furlong^; and the Second Hurdle Handicap, of 60sovs, one m'le and a-half. Nominations are due on April 19 for the First Hurdle, Fust Hack, Birthday, YVmte/ Welter, Tradesmen's, Second Hurdle, Invermay Welter, Provincial, Wai-Eongoa, and Second Hack Handicaps. May 10 is general entiy day, and on that date aceptances are also due for the First Hurdle, First Hack, Birthday, Winter Welter, and Tradesmen's Handicaps. The bill of fare for the newly-formed Gore Trotting Club's meeting on May 1 also appeared last week. The sum of £105 lias been allotted to seven events, the puncipal of which are the Publicans' Handicap, of 25sovs, two miles; and the Club Handicap, of a similar amount and distance. Nominations are to be Bent in by April 17, and acceptances close on April 27.
