THE ACCESSION OATH.
LONDON, March 20. In the House of Lords Lord Salisbury regretted the statutory language of such indecent violence in the Accession Oath, and offered to introduce a resolution to alter it, provided that the Protestant succession was uot in any way impaired. Lord Herries expressed himself as satisfied, and withdrew his intended motion on the subject. March 22. Lord Salisbury's resolution for a joint committee of both Houses to consider the question of the revision of the King's oath was agreed to.
