Fred Bluett teammates a long New Zealand engagement with the Fullers to-morrow, and is to bj given v complimentary benefit by the Choral Hall Company. He is going over to lead the comedy for the Fullers' new show in Sydney

Fitzgerald's Circus opens its Wellington season on Monday next. I mentioneJ. in a note recently that the Wellington operatic-loving pxibhc had chosen "lolanthe" for the next season of our Amateur Operatic Society. The opera is now in active rehearsal, with Maughan Barnett at the end of the baton. The Cast Committee has al-lotteda Ilotted the principal parts as follows — Phyllis, Miss Jennie Sheen ; lolanthe, Miss Winnie Birch, -Queen, Miss Ethel Maginnitv; Celia, Miss E. Good; Lelia, Miss Tvohill ; Fleta, Miss Giirney; Lord Chancellor, Mr T. M. Wiliorrl (M.H.11. for Wellington suburbs); Lord Mountararat, Mr Hallry : Lord Tolloler, Mr E. J. Hill; Piiva.te Willis, Mr Roland Boot; Strepbon, Mr Ballance. It is proposed to produce ths opera about May if possible.

On Saturday night last we had an Irish National Concert, held in the Opera House as i> conclusion to the celebration of St. Patrick'^ Day.

Misa Lorraine Tansley, the contralto singer, formerly connected with the Payne FamiJv of musicians, and more recently v.ith Kate Conpell's Concert Company, has accepted an engagement with a company which is being orgarised in Australia to tour the color ics.
