TAHUNA PARK.
1 am pleased to be in a position to say that there is every likelihood of the Tahuna Park Trotting Club securing from the Tahuna Park Recreation Gompany the lease held by the -latter body, which has about five year 3 and ft-half to run. At a meeting of the directors of the company on Tuesday last an offer of dBSGO for the lease, together with the buildings J:snd improvements, wa3 very favourably re•iceived, and it was decided to call an extra/ordinary meeting of the shareholders of tfie ■jebmpany to consider the matter. From what ' fj can learn, present indications point towards 'She shareholders accepting the offer, and v Ifchat should eventuate the Trotting Club will •fee placed in a much more satisfactory posi- ■ iion financially than that in which it stands at sppesent, for, though, of course, it will have >io bear the expense of the up-keeping of the (ground, the general expenditure will be so much reduced that it is estimated a saving of Uomething like £250 a year will be effected.
