THE WEEK'S DREDGING RETURNS.

REPORTS FROM "WORKING- DREDGES. The Hartley and Riley Beach Dredging Company (Limited) washed lip on Friday for a return of 102oz Gdwt of gold for 136 hours' dredging. The directors declared a, dividend yesterday of 5s per share, payable on the 6th prox. The return from the Gold Creek dredge last ■week was 13oz Bdwt. The return from the Perseverance dredge last week was 590z. Tile Secretary of the Gold Queen Dredging Company reports a return of 330z Odwfc for 114 hours' dredging. The Secretaiy. of the Inch Valley Gold Dredging Company reports a return of 17oz 3dwt for 130 hours dredging. The Secretary of the Clyde Dredging Company reports a return of 210oz for the week ended Saturday. Mr Laiirence Ryan, Alexa-ndra, reports a return of 630z Sdwt from the Perseverance dredge. The Secretary reports that the Enterprise dredge obtained 220z for 100 hours' dredging. The Secretary of the Sunlight Dredging Com-

pany reports a return of 12oz 4dwt for the week.

The Secretary reports that the Waimumu dredge washed up 21oz for 122 dredging hours' work. The Secretary of the Vincent Dredging Com-pany-reports a return of 21oz for 113 hours' dredging. Mr J. J. Gibson, Lawrence, reports the following returns: — Success dredge, 250z Sdwt 9gr for 126. hours' dredging; Lawrence dredge, 18oz sdwt Ggr for five days' dredging. The Secretary leports a return of 990z 16dwt from the Meg and Annie dredge last week. 'The Secretary of the Empire Dredging Company reports a, return of 6602 lOdwt. The Secretary of the Cromwell Dredging Company- reports a, return of HOoz for 117" hours' work. Prospects good. The Secretary of the Chatto Creek Dredging Company reports a return of 21oz for three days' work. Two minor stoppages occuned during the week, interfering considerably with the leturn. The Secretaiy of the Manorburn Gold Drec!ging Company (Limited) reports a return 01 30oz lldwfc for 190 hours. The Dunedin Stock Exchange report the following returns for last week: — Golden Treasure Company, 21oz 2dwt ; Otsgo Dredging Company, lßoz 3dwt. The Secretary of tho Olrig Dredging Company (Limited) reports a return, of 270z 13dwt for last week. The Secretary of the Nevis Company leports a return 01 20oz 14dwt for 113J hours' dredging. The dredge was stopped on Saturday owing to the elevator pinion having broken. The Secretary of the Electric Dredging Company reports a return of 2060z for last week. The Secretary of the Magnetic Dredging Company reports a return of 17oz for 79 hours' dredging. Bottomed on Wednesday night. The Dredgcinaster of the Ifanuherikia Gold Dredging Company wires that last week's return was 4Goz for 125 hours' dredging. The bottom is getting shallower, and prospects have been improving during tho last four shifts. The Secretary of the Waimumu Extended Company reports a return of 14oz sdwt for 132 hours' dredging. The Secretary of the Golden Point Dredging Company leports a return of 250s for 4J days' worlc. This jg the last return which will appear in the name of the Golden Point Company. The amalgamation of that company with the Enterprise Company having been carTied thiough, the drec'ge will start 011 Monday under the auspices of the last-named, and future returns will be reported in that name. Ihe Secretary of the Junction Electric Dredging Company reports a return of Gsoz from No. i 1 dredge for the week. The dredge has stopped to repair a pulley. The Secrelaiy of the Waimumu Central Dredging Company reports a return of 18oz. The return from the Golden Gate dredge last week was 17oz Gdwt. The Secretaiy of the Waikaka Foiks Diedgmg Company reports a return of 4oz 15dwt for 93 houis' di edging. Just opening out. The Secretaiy of the Matau Dredging Company reports a return of 290z for last week. The Secretary reports that the return from the New Alexandra dredge is 9oz lOdwt for 139 hours' work. I The Secretaiy of tho Gharlton Creek Gold Dredging Company reports having received a wire from the dredgemaster on Saturday, informing him that he started dredging again i at noon on Saturday, after fitting on a new top tumbler, but that there was no wash up for the week. , The Upper Waipoii Alluvial Gold Dredging Company (Limited) obtained la&t week 420z sdwt of gold for 130 hours' dredging. The Jutland Flat (Waipori) Gold Mining Company (Limited) obtained last week 18oz 4dwt o£ gold for 144 hours' wages time ; 129 hours' actual dredging. The Secretary of the Waimumu Queen Dredging Company reports a return of lOoz 14dwt 19gr for 101 hours' dredging. The Secretary of the Evans' Flat Dredging Company reports a return of Boz 16dwt for tho week ended September 29.
